Agile Project Management with Scrum--PM 240
"I've heard about Agile Project Management. How is it different from standard project methodology?"
"Can Scrum only be used with software projects?"
"Can this methodology really help with complex projects?"
Agile Project Management with Scrum is a methodology particularly suited for complex development projects where the development outcome is not entirely predictable. The nature of development projects makes it difficult to use standard project methodology to estimate time, cost, and scope. Agile was first used in software product development, but is expanding into other product development areas including biotechnology. This workshop will provide an introduction to the Agile Project Methodology, an understanding of the basic tenants of Agile with Scrum, and allow you to practice a Scrum cycle. If you lead product development projects and are struggling with traditional project methods to estimate project outcomes, this course can provide an alternative approach.
